In the stock market yesterday, Micro-cap and Nifty 50 stocks didn’t do well.
The media and financial services sectors had a tough day as there was a lot of selling happening.
On a brighter note, all the other Asian markets had a good day and ended in the green, which means they saw gains.

Here are the top gainers in the NIFTY 50 index:
- Coal India went up by 1.37% and was priced at Rs 310.30.
- Tata Steel saw a rise of 1.13% and was priced at Rs 121.35.
- Hindalco increased by 0.99% and was at Rs 461.20.
- Tata Consumer gained 0.78% and was valued at Rs 890.00.
- SBI had a 0.59% increase and was priced at Rs 556.20.
On the flip side, there were some top losers in the NIFTY 50 index:
- Infosys decreased by 2.74% and was priced at Rs 1,370.05.
- Adani Enterprises had a 2.24% drop and was valued at Rs 2,257.00.
- Cipla went down by 2.23% and was at Rs 1,157.45.
- Apollo Hospitals saw a 2.21% decline and was priced at Rs 4859.90.
- NTPC’s value dropped by 1.90% and was at Rs 232.05.
In other news, the Indian government approved a subsidy of Rs 22,303 crore for P&K fertilizers for the current Rabi season. Spotify reported an operating profit of €32 million for the July-September quarter.

- Adani Ports established a wholly-owned aircraft leasing unit, Udanvat Leasing IFSC.
- Macrotech Developers secured a debt of Rs 650 crore from Standard Chartered Bank and Deutsche Bank.
- GMR Airports and its affiliates are buying an additional 11% stake in GMR Hyderabad International Airport.
- CarTrade Tech decided to close the auto sales division of its subsidiary, OLX India.
In the world of Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), the Blue Jet Healthcare IPO was subscribed 0.69 times, with retail investors subscribing 0.78 times.
Here’s a quick look at some changes in other markets:
- Gold prices went up by 0.54% to reach ₹60,577.
- Silver prices dipped slightly by 0.09% to ₹71,518.
- The USD-INR exchange rate remained largely stable at ₹83.17 per USD.
- In the United States, the Dow Jones index rose by 0.62% to reach 33,141.38, and the Nasdaq index gained 0.93% to reach 13,139.88.

- The Sensex in India had an annual growth rate of 13.95%.
- The Nifty in India grew by an annual rate of 13.48%.
