In other news, India’s passenger vehicle wholesale numbers showed a 4.7% increase in the July-Sept quarter, reaching 10.74 lakh units, marking the highest for any quarter.

Wholesale inflation in India continued to stay in the negative at -0.26% for the 6th consecutive month in September, indicating a fall in prices.

The government is mulling over the possibility of introducing another production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme, this time for batteries, as mentioned by Union Minister R K Singh.

Additionally, the total box-office collection for the first nine months of 2023 reached Rs 8,798 crore, with expectations that 2023 will be the highest-grossing year, surpassing Rs 12,000 crore in collections, as reported by Ormax Media.
